Japan Marine united corporation (JMU), one of Japan's leading shipbuilders, has started our own developing floating offshore wind technology since 1999 and participated in Japanese Government demonstration project inthe 2010's, delivered world's 1st floating offshore substation and 5MVV FOWT. Our design proprietary floater "JADE WIND" reflects the experience gained through these past initiatives. Within the ongoing Japanese Government project, we now plan to install large scale floating turbines, allowing us to steadily advance towards future commercial deployment.
Pennavel is the first large-scale floating wind farm project located in southern Brittany.Resulting from the fifth government tender (AO5), Pennavel's floating project plans to install an offshore wind farm with a capacity of around 250 MW and a completion by 2032.The project team looks forward to meeting all FOWT visitors.
